Every Color Soup is a great story for young kids to introduce colors, foods, and simple words. It is such an easy read and most pages only have one word written on them. The one word is either the color of the food or the action to make soup. This book does a great job combining colors, foods, and the actions taken place in order to make soup, in this case, Every Color Soup. If your child is always with you in the kitchen (like my daughter), then he/she might really enjoy this book. It gives them a basic recipe in simple language of how to make soup with “every color” or at least a variety of colors. If your child is at the stage where they are memorizing colors and types of foods, they might even take the book and “read” it themselves, like my 4-year-old daughter does. It’s cute and shows the learning progress that they’re making.
Did you read Every Color Soup to your kid(s)?? Did they absolutely love it?? Did they start “reading” the book themselves too?? Do you have a child who always has to be in the kitchen with you??
