When we hear the word “mom”, we think of a woman who is loving, caring, kind, shows us empathy, and a lot of good quality traits that fall into this category. A good mother will always come help us whenever we need her. We don’t know how much she means to us until she isn’t nearby. When I came to the USA, I was alone and eventually became a Single Mom. Oh how I wished I had my mom nearby and how I missed her!
The month of May is one of the most beautiful months out of the whole year! It’s the month when nature awakens back to life, flowers bloom, and joy is all around us. The month of May is also known as Mother Mary’s month. This year 2020 is one of a kind and we can’t celebrate Mother Mary’s month in the church. But, we can celebrate in our own homes and with our families. All we need is at least 1 flower, a lit up candle, and a picture of Mother Mary on top of a small table with a tablecloth. Let’s gather together and pray the Holy Rosary as well as the Litany to our Mother Mary. Let our homes show joy and love to our Mother in heaven. Let us turn to Mother Mary in our time of need, illness, when we’re scared, and any other emotion or needs that we may have.
In one of the 15 Promises of the Holy Rosary, Mother Mary promised that if we pray the Holy Rosary every day, then misfortune will bypass us. Let’s pray and let’s have hope that our good mother will intercede for us. On Mother’s Day, let us show great appreciation and love to our earthly mothers who have raised us to be the person who we are today and let us pray for them. Let’s send our moms a simple card either handmade or printed out.
Happy Mother’s Day!!
