My Child is Sick…What Do I Do?

If you’re a parent, chances are your kids have been sick at least once in their lives. If you’re like most parents it kind of just hits you and you panic…what do I do? When our kids are sick, we feel their pain and it makes us feel awful. Why is this poor little child suffering so badly? Yet, when we are sick we just brush it off and keep going until we can’t any longer. After all, parents never get any breaks, even if they are sick. Kids are always counting on us.

As a young first time parent, I did panic when my baby was sick and I listened to whatever the pediatrician told me. Now that he’s 9 years old and I have another small child, I don’t panic anymore and I don’t have to call the pediatrician for the usual colds. Also, I know that fevers are not a sign of alarm and that if my child is sick he/she will get over it soon. Do I turn to antibiotics? No, everything I do is natural. Some remedies I already knew from my mom and other remedies, I have learned from doing research and a lot of health summits. But, the most that I have learned from is the Everyday Holistic Pediatrics course. Check out the full review here. It is taught by Dr. Elisa Song, a Holistic Pediatrician, who is also a mama.

Unfortunately, I didn’t take her course until my kids got sick, but thankfully it was very helpful, and I was able to put what I learned into practice right away. She has herbal remedies, homeopathic remedies, acupuncture points, essential oils, and more. Essentially, anything that you could think of that’s healthy she teaches you in her course. I would highly recommend to take the course before your kids get sick to know what to do ahead of time and to know how to prevent illnesses in the first place. She even gives us the specific brands and supplements she recommends. It’s like going to the pediatrician, without actually going.
